Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is set to depart the club, and he reportedly feels betrayed by the club for pushing him towards the exit door.
A report from SPORT has claimed that the 26-year-old, who is on the verge of completing a move to Saudi Arabia, is unhappy surrounding the circumstances of his arrival and departure.
Kessie joined on a free transfer from AC Milan last season, but started just six La Liga games and will now leave for a profit. The Ivory Coast international feels aggrieved that he gave up a new contract at Milan to fulfil his dream of joining Barcelona, only to be used for a profit.
He has had a difficult pre-season campaign, with the club trying to usher him out the back door in order to help solve their financial issues, and he has hardly spoken to manager Xavi in recent weeks, with it clear that he is not part of his plans.
Did Barcelona treat Kessie unfairly?
The midfielder did perform fairly well when called upon, and notably scored the winner in El Clasico which all but confirmed that Barcelona would win the title.
The signings of Ilkay Gundogan and Oriol Romeu pushed him even further down the pecking order, and it felt obvious that he would leave this summer.

He may have a point that Barcelona were not clear with him from the start that he was a short term signing, and perhaps he may have chosen to stay at Milan if he knew that he would have limited chances to prove himself at the Camp Nou.
Kessie will now leave having achieved his dream of playing for Barcelona, but it will be a bitter-sweet exit, with the player upset as he feels he has been used for a quick profit despite his footballing ability.
