Barcelona face further difficulty in their financial situation as they continue to struggle in selling players, and they desperately need to clear space in the squad and off the wage bill.
Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez have joined this summer, and Barcelona are targeting another midfielder, but they need to start shifting the deadwood from the squad.
Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets departed for free, whist Samuel Umtiti had his contract terminated, but there has been a lack of progress in other sales.
AS have now reported that Barcelona have selected eight players who they want to loan or sell this summer, but this is proving to be trickier than expected. Nico Gonzalez, Eric Garcia, Alex Collado, Pablo Torre, Ferran Torres, Clement Lenglet, Sergino Dest and Franck Kessie are the players they have listed as ones to push out the door.
Who should Barcelona loan or sell?
Out of the eight names, young stars Pablo Torre and Nico should be loaned rather than sold permanently, as they could have bright futures at the club.
Ferran Torres has been linked with multiple clubs in the Premier League, and may attract the biggest fee. If Barcelona can make a profit on the former Manchester City star, then selling Torres, who is no longer a starter, would be a good move.

Lenglet spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, and a permanent move looks to be on the cards for the Frenchman. Clearing his wages from the salary bill, as well as receiving a small fee, could represent good business for Barcelona.
Kessie has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, but it remains to be seen whether the Ivorian would be open to a move. The midfielder has not featured much since joining from AC Milan, but could attract a sizeable fee.
If Dest can be sold for a fee, then Barcelona could even attempt to fund a new right-back. The USA international is attracting Premier League interest, despite having failed to ever make his mark at the club.
